Aaron Isaacs offers several different magic programs that are both fun and educational.
Bronze Program: This program consists of
a 40-minute performance. This show combines audience participation, comedy and amazing magic that makes
for a truly memorable time for all.
Available for grades K-12
Silver Program: This program consists of the same
40-minute performance as the bronze
program and adds a 15- minute talk about the history of magic with a question and answer
period.
Designed for grades 4-12
Gold Program: This program consists of a 20-minute in-classroom performance followed
by a 40-minute workshop. In the workshop session, students will learn a brief history of
magic and be taught several magic tricks that they will be able to perform themselves.
Included are tricks with cards, coins, and other common items. Each student will receive
written explanations of each effect they learn so they can continue to practice and
learn magic after the workshop is over. Students are asked to have a new deck of
playing cards and a US Half-Dollar or quarter and a rubber band. 5 Tricks magic
kits are available for $4.00 each.
Designed for grades 5-12
Artist Residencies
Probably the most exciting
concept at work in arts-in-education today is the artist residency. Instead of a
"one-shot" performance, Aaron spends several days or even weeks in a
single school. Students take what is learned in the basic workshop and expand on
it. Each student learns and refines a single magic trick over several individual
lessons with Aaron, all culminating in a student magic show. Through this
process, students will learn how many aspects of theater, including dialogue,
choreography/blocking, character development and music, work to create a magic
performance.
